How to be a positive prinny

Hi Prinnys,

Happy Tuesday, I love bank holidays the week does fly in!

Anyhow about a year and a half ago I was a completely different person I had no job, no drive or ambition! I kept getting job interviews but never the job and I think everyone would agree with me that this is such a confidence knock. I was after putting on loads of weight (I blame relationships lol) so I felt horrible about myself and I just felt down in general. No 'get up and go' in me as my ma would say lol.

After starting college in September last year, everything quickly fell into place, I was in college doing something I loved, got a job and started my very first '8 week challenge' all in the space of a month. Safe to say things quickly changed for the better.

Here are my top 5 tips on how to be a 'Positive Prinny' and why. I'm no preacher and believe me I have my bad days (like everybody) but this is what I gathered from personal experiences and I use these tips everyday to help me stay positive and happy.

  •  NOTHING is permanent! So when you're going through a hard time don't panic it won't last forever. I know from personal experiences it's very hard to see light at the end of the tunnel but give time 'time' and deal with it. If you want to lie in bed all day and cry do! or if you want to go to the gym for the day do that! I think having goals and focusing on things works out much better than dwelling on something bad that has happened so I,d go for option 2 haha and always remember you are the only person who can help yourself.
  • It's all about who you surround yourself with. (This is my FAV) if you spend your days with negative Nancy's they will drain you. They will zap every ounce of good vibes from your body and you will soon be a negative Nancy. People can easily bring you down so it's very important to surround yourself with people who are positive, make you feel good and who genuinely love, care and motivate you.
  • Don't compare yourself to others. Facebook = Fakebook! It took me way too long to cop this one. just think about it I've never wrote a  status about something miserable that has happened have you? we highlight all the brilliant things that happen on social media. Everybody has problems and everybody goes through shit so never look at somebody else and wish you were them. I have to keep telling myself this one especially when it comes to weightloss, you see people who loose 10 stone in a year and keep it off for life. But that's their journey and this is mine. Everybody is different.
  • Be grateful.  'How can you be happy with more if your not already happy with what you have' its so true and would really make you think. If you have a loving family, a house and food on the table you are blessed! I was blown away with the support from everyone after I posted my weight loss blog last week so a huge thank you to all you lovely people.
  • Last but not least and MOST IMPORTANTLY be happy! You could be the most positive person on the planet and you would still have a cry sometimes. You could be the fittest person in the world and still have a spicebag sometimes. That's life we are humans at the end of the day.  Don't take life too seriously none of us are getting out alive.
Hope this helps.
Love,
Danielle x

Did you ever just have one of them weeks like all you want to do is lie in bed, cry, eat everything in sight and watch a stupid love film (I'm so predicable haha) but you can't because 1: you're in work and 2: you're on a diet. Well it was one of them weeks.

About a year and a half ago I went through what id call 'a hard time'. I hadn't got a job, I would get loads of interviews
