So here's my first weight loss blog . . I feel more nervous now writing this post than what I did writing my first one so please be nice.
I have always been over weight from as far back as I can remember it never bothered me in the slightest. Diets and excersize never fazed me I was too busy enjoying my teenage years (6 bottles of 'wickaa' please).
When I was in 6th year I said to myself I need to lose weight for my debs so the first week in January I started a 'diet' and I went walking for an hour every night. My diet consisted of a small yogurt, a cup of soup and a baked potato everyday so I was basically starving myself. After the first month i lost a stone and a half i couldn't believe it. By April i had lost 3 and a half stone. Its only now looking back on pictures i realize how much i actually lost.

After a while i started falling back into old habits and i was up and down in weight constantly. It was only last October when i started a 8 week challenge in my local gym 'D-Top Fitness Clondalkin' that i finally got back on the band wagon and i haven't looked back since. The gym completely changed my body shape, too many people are obsessed with weighing scales when trying to loose weight (including myself) but if your working out its better to focus on loosing inches rather than pounds that way you'll never get disheartened.
So anyhow the summer is always a real struggle for me and it was even harder this year. After spending 5 weeks abroad i put on half a stone, which wasn't too bad considering what i was eating and drinking haha, now the holidays are over I'm ready to give it 100% again.
Im starting a new 8 week challenge tomorrow and I'm so excited to get stuck back in and feel healthy again. I'll be writing a post on my 4th week and on my 8th week. On my 8th week I'l be posting an 'after' picture and talking about my diet and how i got on etc.
If anything i hope this post encourages people to get fit and healthy, remember summer bodies are made in the winter.
love
Danielle x
